Holy Pope goes YouTube

We are really advancing into technology. And for an good ol' people to keep up with the futuristic pace, they have now created an YouTube account for the activities of Pope Benedict XVI called after the same name of the place. For the Vatican, it was the latest plan to catch up with the rapidly changing field of communications and technology. For a 2,000-year-old institution known for being very set in its ways, it was something of a revolution. Though the Pope said, he isn't embracing virtual communication without some reservation.

Undoubtedly, wise use of communications technology enables communities to be formed in ways that promote the search for the true, the good and the beautiful, transcending geographical boundaries and ethnic divisions. To this end, the Vatican has launched a new initiative which will make information and news from the Holy See more readily accessible on the world wide web. - in their latest YouTube Page

It's a way of giving the Church's message beyond the members of the Church. No more no less. So please visit the page.
Amen. :)
